The name of the house means "beautiful view" – a well-earned name, as all the Orcia valley and the Amiata mountain are spread out below. This hamlet lies at 600 m. altitude, close to the medieval castle called Castelluccio belonging to the estate, where the music festival Incontri in Terra di Siena, founded and directed by the cellist Antonio Lysy, takes place each summer.

Belvedere is surrounded by fields and woods. The houses face a beautiful XVth century Granary and vines and roses climb up their walls; while lavender and rosemary fill the rooms with their scent. Beautifully maintained gardens are reached directly through the houses, and at the far end lies a lovely pool with sunbeds and deckchairs (also used by guests staying at Castelluccio).

The overall atmosphere is one of rustic charm and comfort.
